Music Connection Magazine names Arlene in top 100 Unsigned Acts!

Music Connection Magazine's December issue will announce their annual list of the nation's top 100 unsigned live acts and Arlene was surprised and delighted by the announcement. Arlene has recently started performing with her husband, Bill and daughter, Skye as well as Jim Rolfe under the moniker of "the Koles". The Koles are preping for an upcoming theatre show venue to showcase their award winning live show and record a live DVD.

The Koles play with Glen Campbell in Malibu!

The Koles were thrilled to grace the stage at the Glen Campbell Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Malibu Golf and Country Club. The Koles accompanied Glen on a set that included his hits Rhinestone Cowboy, Galveston and By the Time I get to Phoenix. They then serenaded Glen with a special arrangement of Witchita Lineman. "It was a thrill meeting Glen and an honor to perform with the legend.....his voice sounded amazing" said Arlene Kole.

GoGirlsMusic.com released a new compilation CD of some of the top female indie artists in America. Arlene's was honored to have "Just Like You" from her album "One Day" chosen for the album. The album sales will benefit United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).

Nationally Syndicated Radio Program "Art of the Song" interviews Arlene for upcoming show

Based in Albuquerque NM, John Dillon and Vivian Nesbitt came to Los Angeles July 5th to tape a one hour show featuring Arlene and Bill Kole for airing in the fall. Art of the Song (artofthesong.org) discusses creativity with respect to songwriting, music, performance, and life. The program is broadcast in all 50 states, Canada and the Philipeans and has featured such notables as Bruce Cockburn, David Wilcox, Arlo Guthrie, Dr. John, Philip Bailey (Earth Wind & Fire), Kathy Mattea and more.

A First for the GINA for the Missing National Songwriting Competition

Los Angeles, California - Monday, May 11, 2009 – For the first time in the 4 year history of the annual songwriting competition which raises national awareness for missing persons, a mother and daughter have both landed in the top 10 finalists. May is National Missing Children's Month and Gina for the Missing (www.411gina.org) lends its support by holding the annual competition. GINA Founder Jannel Rap was pleased to announce the finalists for this year.
Local singer songwriter Arlene Kole, recently named “Best of the Best” by the Los Angeles Women in Music and her 21 year old daughter Skyeler, have landed spots as finalists. Arlene was chosen for her song Just Like You while Skye was selected for her composition Miles Away. "Skye and I believe that this is such a worthy cause for us to be involved in and we’re thrilled to have been chosen”, says Arlene. “We both wanted to contribute our time and effort to help raise awareness for all the families who live their daily lives with the pain of a loved one gone missing. GINA has been instrumental in helping solve over 350 cases and in many instances, the finding and joyful return of missing persons to their families has occurred.”
The 10 finalists from across the nation will converge in Los Angeles to tape a performance on Sunday May 17. Each performer will “sponsor” a missing person and bring attention to their specific case. The taping is closed to the public and a panel of celebrity judges will make the final determination as to the winner.
Catch a performance of this mother and daughter along with husband and father, Bill Kole, and their band in Los Angeles on the main stage at this year’s Bufest with Eve 6, MXPX, Reel Big Fish and others. Bufest is a green event and will be held at the Paramount Movie Ranch May 30 & 31 and feature 75 acts on 4 stages over the two days.

Bufest has decided to fly Arlene and her band, "the Koles", out to Waikiki for the October 24th Bufest Hawaii music festival at the Waikiki Bowl. Arlene and family will perform a one hour show in one of the most beautiful settings on the islands with featured performers "Reel Big Fish" and others. Sheryl Crow, Incubus, and many others have played this gorgeous venue in the shadow of Diamond Head and minutes from the beach.

Arlene Kole to play main stage at this year's Bufest

Arlene will play on the Main Stage at this year's Bufest Music Festival held at the Paramount Movie Ranch in Malibu, CA May 30th and 31st. 4 stages and 75 acts are slated. Go Girls Music release Compilation CD featuring Arlene Kole

GoGirlsMusic.com released a compilation CD of some of the top female indie artists in America. Arlene's was honored to have "I'm Leavin" from her album "One Day" chosen as the opening track of the album. The record release party to be held in Los Angeles on October 18 at Tangier. Los Angeles Women in Music release "The Best of the Best" Compilation CD!

The Los Angeles Women In Music release their “Best Of the Best for 2007/2008” of Southern California. This compilation recognizes the top performing and recording singer/ songwriters in greater Los Angeles as chosen by LAWIM. This honor is inclusive of all male and female perfomers. Arlene was chosen in June by LAWIM and her song "One Day..." written with her producer Bill Kole, will be released at a media soiree at the trendy M-Bar in Hollywood on August 13, 2008.

Arlene Kole Honored by the Los Angeles Women in Music as "The Best of the Best" for 2007 / 2008!

Arlene performs in Hollywood July 9th with many of LA's premier singer/ songwriters at the LAWIM "Best of the Best". Arlene has been chosen by the Los Angeles Women In Music as the “Best Of the Best for 2007/2008”. This honor is reserved for those recognized as the best singer / songwriters in Los Angeles in the past year. Her music will be released on a compilation album for LAWIM in August.

Arlene Kole Appears as Musical Guest on new Lifetime HD Pilot episode

Arlene was chosen and appeared with her band as the musical guest in a new HD Lifetime Network nighttime women’s talk show pilot episode entitled “Mom’s Night”. Both Lifetime and Oxygen are looking at the show for the upcoming season.

Arlene invited to showcase in Santa Monica California for NetteRadio and featured on Live365.com’s “Women of Substance” alongside Sarah Mclaughlin, Shawn Colvin etc.

Arlene Releases Debut CD "ONE DAY..."

"One Day..." released Mother's Day 2008. Limited Edition first run features a full color 12 page booklet and special packaging that will not be duplicated on future runs.

Arlene finishes1st runner up in the international GINA singer songwriter Competition

Arlene performed at the USA headquarters of Roland Musical Instruments in Orange County on a live webcast to place 1st runner up in the international GINA singer songwriter Competition in a very close competition. She received a prize package and recording time for her efforts.
